Wow it has been a lot quiet lately. I wonder what everyone is doing... Flying I hope!
Anyhoo... I saw a light twin take off this morning and the landing gear was already up while the plane was still on the upwind with runway below. Is that a little too early to pull the gear up? I would say the altitude was maybe 150-200 agl.
I was reading some posts on some other website and one of them had an instersting point. "For a twin it makes sense to retract gear soon since they have to worry about climbing with one engine. Single engines don't have that problem, they are going down and need that gear down to save time"
