This is my first post in these forums. I'm a senior in college right now with a degree totally unrelated to aviation so I can have a back-up. I'm working on my private pilot right now as well and I'm almost finished. I plan to get my instrument rating before I graduate. I've talked to numerous people who fly for airlines like American, Jetblue, and UPS, and I've gotten tons of great advice. One thing I hear everyone say is try to get all your ratings as quick as possible. I'm not the military type, so I've been looking at flight academies like Delta Connection for example. I've seen in some other posts that only 10% become instructors there, but after I graduate, I plan on putting all my effort towards flying so I have every intention of at least trying to be the best in my class. If anyone has advice, that would be great, thanks a lot.
