I don't understand why your right engine quit. I have a lot of time flying around the southwest and on two occasions the mixture control cable broke on shutdown and since I was on a dirt road a long way from help I was forced to wire the mixture in the full rich position on an Lycoming 0540 series twice. It did not run perfectly but I made it back to ABQ. Thankfully you did have God's protection in a very difficult situation and you are well trained.
