In "A Faster King Air" there are a few numbers that don't add up. The plane was fueled with 2,300 lbs of fuel out of a possible max of 3,645, clearly able to take on an additional 1,345lbs to be at full fuel. With two pilots and 2,300lbs of fuel the takeoff weight was 11,500 out of a possible 12,500. If we add the 1,345 to the 11,500 to reach the full fuel takeoff weight we're at 12,845 or 345lbs over the 12,500lb limit. If I start eliminating crew members to get back in the limit it seems like I need a 5lb pilot to take off with full fuel. What's the explanation? Cheers, John
