Tom, Cannot email you, but I thought your advice regarding paper in flight was excellent. Unfortunately, you make no mention of http://www.vfrcopilot.com, just Jepp and the other market leaders. ED/iT was the first to offer digital Sectionals and TACS with a product called eSectionals. It was an alternative to folding paper in that you could print TripKits of Sectionals and TACS. However, two years ago, we added a GPS module to eSectionals, called ePilotage. Thus, you can now have moving map sectionals and tacs in flight with all the bells and wistles (DirectTO, rotating or north up, flight track recording and playback, and more). We use this software running on the Motion LS800 and the brand new Samsung Q1 Ultra (half the price of the LS800 but twice as good). We also have a free product on our web site called QuickRADAR. It gives the pilot NWS Doppler Radar INFLIGHT and its FREE,no subscription. Runs on a TabletPC such as the Q1...need radar...run QuickRADAR...dials your cellphone...30 seconds later you have the Doppler radar on the PC. Tested to 12,000. Take a look at http://www.vfrcopilot.com. We will soon be adding both a DUAT and DUATS interface into eSectionals.
