I've been reading FLYING since about '96 when I was 16 years old and earned my glider licence. Now I havea commercial ticket and soon Multi-IFR, the writings of Bax and Len Morgan seem as ageless as ever.
Both Bax and Mr. Morgan did publish books with compilations of their articles for FLYING. Bax did two; Bax Seat: Logs of a Pasture Pilot and More Bax Seat: New Logs of a Pasture Pilot. (1978 and 1988). Len a book of Vectors in 1992.
I've gotten all three books from either www.amazon.com.
(Yes Len Morgan's brother was from Trains magazine.)
While it seems that writers do come and go with the passage of time, the calibre of the wrting is always high.
