I don't have the name of any of the flying-communities, but there are a few.
As far as just airports though, there are a LOT of friendly little airports over the state. One of my favorite places is Payson, AZ, where there's a great restaurant on the field in full view of the runway. Plus, the runway is warped a little so it's like a roller-coaster(not enough to make any effect though). Other places like Wickenberg, Flagstaff, Prescott, Sedona, and more have a decent airport with nice people and good services. It just depends on what you want I guess, but there are some really cool places around. I'd probably stay out of the metro-area like Phoenix, but apart from that the places that are a little higher(prescott, payson, flagstaff) are pretty nice to live in year round, flagstaff gets pretty cold but due to how dry it is here in Arizona, any snow usually sublimates real fast.
One other thing to think about is Monsoon Season, if you do move out here, a hanger is highly recommended, otherwise you are kind of playing russian roulette. Some years it is not too bad, and some years it is. The only bad time to fly is the late summer because of those thunderstorms, but densitiy altitude can play a factor here.
