This is the 3rd try....how to edit and delete?
If you really want to learn to fly the most inexpinsive way and the safest way, I would recommend using the FREE AOPA and FAA Safety on-line courses.
First you need to get a good ground school training or refresher with AOPA's free courses. That should keep you busy for a few months.Combine that with FAA's Flight Safety "Wings Program". which includes more courses and also airborne assignments.
If you're only interested in getting your BFR You will automatically recieve your BFR in the Wings 3 phase Program. Check them both out at www.aopa.org and www.faasafety.gov
These same programs are also good for advanced training....like Instrument Rateings.
I'm doing that now. I just started working on my Instrument rating. I didn't want to bother with a BFR or a medical, so I just keep flying with my instructor. We shoot a lot of night approaches into LGB,I really enjoy that.
