I just thought I would pass along a recommendation in case anyone is trying to find a good electronic logbook. I was hunting for one when I resumed flying after a 13 year hiatus. I wanted to find something that would accomodate automatic prompting for currencies, accurately track hours, allow for easy updates, provide information on various hour types, and do so without a lot of hassle.
After I did a number of comparisons of some freebies on the web, and two purchased products, I found the best one (for me), was LogbookPro. I've found it to be an excellent product, easy, and even has the ability to use a Palm or Pocket PC to enter data into and then sync that data with your computer to add log data.
Sporty's Pilot Shop now is selling the software, but I purchased it through the company itself (NC Software) prior to them inking that deal with Sporty's.
There are various purchase options with increasing capabilities for features on this software, and they even have a version that can support multiple logbooks for use in a FBO type of operation where you want to have CFI's able to look at a student's logbook electronically.
Having said all this, I should mention that I do not own stock or any interest in the company. I just found their product to be extremely useful and am happy to share my sucess story with others also looking for this kind of thing.
The website for the manufacturer is: www.LogbookPro.com
