Not to be a smart guy, but not really. Specifically, it seems that you're asking as if you want to get it as an add-on, like a KLN 94 GPS. Sorry, it's part of the airplane when manufactured (the plumbing and wiring are radically different). You might want to got the Diamond or Cessna websites and check the price differentials between the top of the line panels and the G1000 version of the same plane. And do it quickly, because, I believe, both manufacturers are planning to standardize on this equipment.

Hi Bob!

In keeping with the G-1000 topic, I did just notice that Richard Collins has a new DVD out on flying the G-1000 panel. I believe Sporty's has got it available now for around $25.00.

What I've found rather surprising is that both the Avidyne and G1000 systems are relatively ''cheap.'' Really, no more than 10% of the cost of the airplane, and often, a lot less.

As factory options, which as far as I know right now is the only way to install either system, prices are running from $25,000 to $35,000, approximately.

Check out Cessna and Mooney, as I believe they are the only two offering the G-1000 as an option, and Piper for the Entegra, as an option. I think it's standard on the Diamonds now, and we know it's standard on the Cirrus.
