The Piaggio Avanti ll is perhaps the best blend of performance, efficiency and looks in the air today. 400kts, 1,500nm range, 3,000ft airfield capabilities, Single pilot certified, larger cabin than any entry level jet, and all at an operating cost similar to a King Air 200. If I had 5 Mil in the bank I would take one of these over any tubroprop or CJ for that matter. I don't hear much about the Piaggio in aviation publications though. Why is that? It seems like an aviation engineering milestone to me. Any thoughts?
