I had a question about the maximum weight that the Cessna Skyhawk 172R can carry. It's useful load is 818 lb, with gross weight of 2540 lbs. I want to know that would it be ok to go about 25 or 50 pounds over gross. I know I'll make gentle turns, and keep a straight path. But canbody tell me more about it. I want to take my parents and my sister up with me, and they are a bit heavy. So with the current flight plan, the airplane is 50 pounds over gross, I wanted to know, is too too dangerous, or will the airplane lift off.
