First of all, you don't know if wind is the problem but if it was... Of course wind affects airplanes but every rated pilot understands this. Two things that can't be prevented are 1) The winds and 2) Pilot error. We can reduce pilot error but it's impossible to eliminate it. That's like asking if we can do something to eliminate car accidents from ever happening again.
