I remember reading an article in "aftermath" about a plane taking off with the boost pump on and shortly after pulling back on climb power the engine quit.

The NTSB did tests and decided the pilot had inadvertently turned on the boost pump during his preflight and took off with engine blowing black smoke until it quit.



Check this crash out in Canada and tell me if it sounds like mabey the same thing happened here..awfully close sounding anyway..
