In case you’re still worried about the January 1, 2020, deadline for ADS-B, the FAA’s Equip 2020 Team is here to help. The joint government and industry group, designed to encourage and help aircraft owners equip with ADS-B Out before the deadline, is hosting a live Twitter chat to address your general aviation questions and concerns.
The FAA chat will take place on Wednesday, July 19, from 2 p.m. to 3 p.m. ET. Representatives from the Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association, Experimental Aircraft Association, and Aircraft Electronics Association will cohost the live question and answer session.
To make sure your questions are seen include the hashtag #ADSBchat in all of your tweets. You’ll also be able to catch up with the Equip 2020 team at EAA’s AirVenture 2017, where they’ll have a booth to answer any ADS-B related questions, help you make rebate reservations on site, and check the performance of your ADS-B Out equipment if you already have it installed.
Several panels at AirVenture will also discuss ADS-B Out equipage, including one at the FAA Safety Center on Wednesday, July 26, from 11:30 to 12:45 CT.
